He totally behaves at her house, and I am a firmn believer in it takes a village. He's unusual, so I figure it gives him another person in his world that can be there for him as he navigates the world in his own way.

I love your story!

EErica Orloffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16415925758466527671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1074937892810265656.post-79970265899727950552009-12-04T11:27:50.455-08:002009-12-04T11:27:50.455-08:00That's fantastic!. He used to spend hours over there. Apparently he just wandered about as one of the family and it never worried the mother that she had an extra child in the house. He always gravitated towards those much older, where he found a degree of kinship and understanding. If they went down to the beach (200 yards away) and hauled the boat out, he was right there with them. He would pop in and tell me what they were doing and then dash off. In return, I watered their garden and fed the cats whenever they went away which was often so a kind of balance was established. Erica, our two boys need different sorts of relationships to most children and that continues to this day. I too was enormously grateful to those who took him under their wing.Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12914422791793321393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1074937892810265656.post-11720193464271972752009-12-04T01:11:54.632-08:002009-12-04T01:11:54.632-08:00DB in love.
