I was feeling very snuggly about Demon Baby. Sometimes, I just don't want him to get bigger. I miss those true "baby" days.
We were walking down the stairs in our house and he was behind me. I turned and said, "Hey . . . do you want me to carry you down?"
"No. That's okay. I have feet."

That's too cute. Now my son is 17, I sometimes think about those early years with nostalgia but I'm also happy that I enjoyed them while they were happening and not only in retrospect.
It's moments like your one on the stairs that sustain us when they're beastly to us.
Hi Suzanne:

Oh, how cute! As if you didn't realize!
I loved when my sister's kids were at that age. They're just realizing all these things about the world and state things so matter-of-factly.
lol... smart, that one ;)
loved it when mine were young and came running to me with a new [to them] critter or other find :)

I know. He's big into the moon . . . he finds lightning bugs amazing. Lots of things that are just "wow" moments for him.

That age is so sweet. I remember asking Alex if he could pass me the ketchup once, and he said, "Why? Did you break your hand?" I said, "No, you rude little monster. Go directly to your closet for the next week, and eat nothing but gruel." Ah! Those were the days!
