Stocking Raider

The stockings are hung. In anticipation of Christmas, I had stuck a dark chocolate bar in each. No one noticed because they are flat, and really? Who checks their stocking before Christmas?

We've been telling Demon Baby that Santa would bring his sister home from college. On the way to the airport, he was convinced Santa's sled was landing. When she arrived, he was delirious with joy.

When he got home, the first thing he did was check his stocking where he found his candy bar. When I asked him why he looked in his stocking, his answer was, "Because Santa came tonight."

Christmas morning he is going to be SO surprised.

That is just so sweet. Will Santa be bringing fake Orange Glo?

It must be hard to buy pressies for such a pragmatic lad on the one hand and such a believer on the other. Sister coming home on Santa's sleigh is a wonderful image.

Melanie:
Santa is searching for a Clapper. Santa draws the line at Orange Glo. Perhaps for his birthday. ;-)

He is really . . . amazingly smart--quick on the uptake, as they say. He figures out puzzles and games for kids WAY older. But the Santa thing, thank goodness, he's buying for right now.

Well . . . I thought of that. BUT . . . for all the joy he also brings? No coal . . . actually, I've been so stressed lately, I haven't even STARTED shopping, but plan to do so today and Monday.
