Today it is COLD here. And as I got the littlest of our dogs ready to go out, Demon Baby said to me, "You need to get Dreamer dressed."
I thought he meant in a doggie sweater because it was so cold. But I also know better than to assume anything with him, so I asked, "Why?"
"Because."
"Why? Because it's so cold? We don't have a coat for Dreamer. She has fur. She'll be okay."
"No. She needs a Superman suit."
"A what?"
"A Superman suit. Pants and a red cape."
"Why? To keep her warm?"
He looked at me as if I was CLEARLY the stupidest woman on earth.
"No. So she can fly."
Of COURSE.

Funny!
But make sure he knows that a red cape isn't really going to enable anyone to fly. That balcony worries me now...
My tennis coach told me a story about when he was a young lad. He donned a Spiderman costume and, feeling invincible I guess, jumped from a table and crashed through a window. Miraculously, he wasn't seriously injured, but I've heard about other cases where kids were.
I'm sure you've thought about all that.
With this kid. yeah.... think of that stuff all the time.

She? No, no, no. She wears Wonder Woman, not Superman!
I know. He doesn't quite have the whole gender thing down.

Okay, if he thinks the dog should fly maybe you should keep the dog on the ground floor away from the stairs, windows, anything on the upper level....just a thought.
Aimless:
Thought of that, too. The good thing is one, the dogs aren't allowed upstairs and they are generally quite obedient about that. And two . . . my Demon Baby has "failure to thrive" if you can believe that. He weighs a mere 26 pounds at 3 years old and has a lot of issues with not being able to gain weight . . . so frankly, he can't yet overpower the dogs.

Failure to thrive is a symptom of Celiac Disease. Has he been tested? I can link you if you need information on that. There are 3 Celiacs in my household.
After hearing the stories here...I wouldn't put luring the dogs upstairs past the Demon Baby....
You might want to invest in some kryptonite.
