A Demon on the Farm

I took Demon Baby to a pumpkin farm. They had animals, too--rabbits, sheep, cows, turkeys.

Demon Baby raided my wallet for quarters to put in the little pellet machines to feed said animals.

Then he stood at the fence, amidst a huge crowd, screaming, "SHEEP! COME HERE SHEEP! COME AND GET IT!!!!!!"

This is Demon Baby on the tractor ride. He made me ride it five times.

Five times on a tractor pull.

A woman can only stand so much excitement.

Then again, I got to see this smile the whole time.

That smile makes it all worth it. :)

His grin is just too cute. He's not grinning because he's watching you throw up on the 5th hayride, is he?

Erica Orloff said...

Jude:
It does. It really and truly does.

In all sincerity, it's because he and I were alone and he had me ALL TO HIMSELF with undivided attention, not fighting siblings, the phone, work, nothing. Just me and him . . .

Demon Baby's perfect day versus Mommy's duty. I remember those days well. He was so excited and I tried hard to be but my mind was always buzzing with other stuff I should be doing. I was running my own business (much like you, Erica) until he was 6 when I sold it to homeschool him. Then he got plenty of me.
But certainly worth it for the smiles on their faces.
